About Thurber Home Plans

Tim Thurber graduated college in 1980 and started working in the trades framing houses. Very early in his career he discovered how important it was to have a good set of plans to build with. From furniture building to renovating a home; the key is in the planning.

For 10 years Tim Thurber worked within the engineered wood products industry, gaining knowledge about structure, detail, production and cost effectiveness which is key in the design of any product. It was after gaining this knowledge that Mr. Thurber started the Architectural Design phase of his career. Contractors and Builders worked with Tim to fix and redesign plans that had not worked in the building phase. In 1988 he formed his own company; TBuilt Design and Draft also known as Thurber Home Plans.

Tim Thurber was granted contracts to design for some of the most desirable contractors and builders on Vancouver Island, British Columbia and in the Calgary, Alberta market.
